Hello All, I have two model 5100's, one is a 16-gauge Springfield with a circle and an I in the circle. The other 5100 is a Stevens 20-gauge with an circle and a heart in the circle, anyone have any idea's of when each was made? The circles on both are on the bottom front of the receiver, just past the hinge pin. Thanks, Gary |

I have an Eastern Arms 101.7 that is marked 5100 on the frame. According to Savage Arms Historian, J.T. Callahan, it was made by Stevens and sold under the Eastern Arms trade name by Sears. He said that the Stevens 5100 version is basically a 311 or 5151 with a different frame design that was manufactured between 1941 and 1948. |
