Shot 4 boxes of GLs yesterday, and couldn't believe my eyes when I looked down the bores of the guns I had used. They were surprisingly clean. Previously, GLs left really dirty bores and a few grains of unburned powder here and there. None of that this time!

I purchased these shells last summer.

Anybody else notice a change or know why this might be?

Yep, sure have. I shot some on a dove hunt in Sept. that I bought earlier in the year and noticed this. My guess as to the reason why is the powder has been changed. Guess I'm not crazy after all!

You should also note the velocity has been increased from 1150 to 1200 FPS in the GL 1 ounce loads. It makes for a slightly more effective game load.
