Thyanx guys . it's been a tough week and am trying to be distracted . Has only worked some . Wifey was watching VIKINGS the other day , and when the King left his death bed and went to lead his army , wifey noted the WE can only take so many arrows before bleeding out .... gonna try to get some traveling in , and then we'll see how it goes with another buddy ! Still to many visions here right now . |

Sorry about Molly Mr. Bill, I’ve had a few fine hounds in my life and there’s nothing like the drive they take to the hunt. Every now and again you come across one that has the personality to learn your ways, blend to them, and tug your heart strings. I’m grateful for every dog I’ve gotten to know and looking forward to ones I haven’t met; I believe that every new one had a visit with ones who’ve passed and brings something familiar and soothing to new friendships. You have that to look forward to! Whether or not you work at it another will come along and spark your fancy, make you smile, and hook you deeper than you thought possible. When that happens I hope you will share, I’d like to be reminded that you’re being looked after!
When you think about Miss Molly, let yourself grin. I know I will 😉. Take care and call when you will. I’m bouncing another wee off to college this fall and guest rooms are getting plentiful. Plan to stop in on the way to Moo.

Very sorry for your loss. Been down that road several times. And now as I read all the poast I can't hardly get past the waveyness in my eyes. Each one is seperate and you never replace the one you lost. We just get a new mend in the heart and remember all the great times of each and the new good times to come. Knowing the pain we'll endure again until we all meet again.

My 6 month old pup is snoring beside me and my 13 yo is asleep at my feet. It’s the cycle of things for hunters. Knowing it sure doesn’t make it easier. I have four pups who are now only memories. But what grand memories!
My condolences. |

Sorry to learn of your loss.
This is the hardest part of having a four pawed buddy and the main reason I run only a single dog until the difficult day looms on the horizon; I struggle tremendously with the "good bye" part.
When the time comes that you are ready to start a new chapter with a new pup, may you find the one that is right for you. Until then, know that many of us here do indeed understand, and share your void. |

I sympathize with your loss. The relationship with a good hunting dog cannot be understood by those who have not lived it. I hunted little last year as I missed my old girl.
I know of no better solution having lost several good dogs through the years that the best medicine is when ready to work with a new friend and build the partnership no wife will understand or appreciate, find that new pup. |
