Well, that doesn't mean that anyone has to buy primers from Cabela's/BassPro.

If you don't buy at 79 either their price will come down, or someone else will undercut them. Or they could be passing through a wholesaler's/manufacturer's price increase.

They'll tell you it's a pass-through. They might be fibbing.

The problem with Cabelas is when they get stuck with something they bought at a high price, they stick with it. Thus, they had shot at 50 a bag for a long time, even when it could be had elsewhere at 35.

If you buy at a high price, they will keep the price there.

Gentlemen,

df is correct, find another place to purchase the primers. If nobody purchase them the price will come down to at least a little above what they purchased them at.

all the best,

Easy for everybody to say but when the only other store to buy reloading supplies is over 140 miles away and you have a 12 year old grandson who is getting into trap you do what you have to do. The 4H trap clubs are no longer sponsored with ammo anymore, at least not around here. Do I wish I could find some at old cost? yes but right now I want the grandson to get into shooting since he really enjoys it. But could look at another way don't buy primers and maybe he could stay in his room and play video games......

Yah I know I paid to much but ....... Nothing better than when your grandson gives you a big hug and says thanks for taking him to trap shooting and when all he talks about for the rest of the day is how much fun he has and when he tells the neighbor kids what he gets to do.... I'll pay the gouging price now and then to have those memories.....

Well at least the good news is that are shotgun primers available. I'm good for the rest of this summer at least ,hunting loads not an issue either for many years. As far as your grandsons trap shooting that's priceless at any cost good job!

My local shop is selling Cheddite 209/ CX 2000 for just under $40 right now, but they aren't Cabala's-Bass Pro. My disappointment with those two continues to grow.

Gentlemen,

As usual Garhart is correct, and I agree with him 100%, dealing with Cabalas/Bass Pro is a night mare, and is getting worse. Purchase where you can get a decent price and use the credit cards you want to use. IMO Cabalas/Bass Pro is not worth dealing with any more. They use to be a decent store to purchase guns and sporting items, no longer the case unfortunately. Very disappointed in their policy and prices. When the CZ 28 gauge G2 Bob White gun hit the market GI had the Cabalas listing and it was a nice price. I called to purchase the gun and was advised the their new management would not allow me to use my NRA debit card. Now I have been using my NRA Card to purchase guns in their store for a long time. Even with great purchase record, I was not allowed to purchase the way I wanted to. I found another vendor on GI in Alabama, with a better price and no problems using my NRA card.

Last time for me trying to purchase from Cabalas/Bass Pro, not worth the hassle.

all the best,

Pine Creek/Dave

At that price by the time your grandson is old enough to be on his own he won't be able to afford them anyway and you won't be around to take up the slak. Surly their are gun clubs with in reasonable distance with much cheaper price.

Don't get me started on Cabela's. I still use them occasionally, but only under protest. Ever since the merger with Bass-Pro, they've slid downhill badly.
