For those of you looking for Longshot, I see that PR has it in stock. |

I don’t use LS in my 16 ga guns. It’s used in my heavy 12 ga loads, most of my one ounce 20 ga loads and all of my 28 ga 3/4 ounce loads. |

Longshot works very well in 1 oz. 2 1/2" 16 ga. loadings and in 1 1/8 oz. 2 3/4" loadings. It's leaky, so either use european style wads, Rem or Win Comp hulls, or Claybuster WAA16 type wads with the powder cup pre-flared.
Even with these issues to address, it is still my #1 powder for the aforementioned applications...especially when I want to build buffered loads. Buffer adds 1,500-2,500 psi to a load recipe, but it is easy to use Longshot and get 1,200-1,250 fps at pressures low enough that a 2,500 psi increase is perfectly acceptable and still well below industry maximum. |

I only use it for at least 1 1/8 ounce loads in my 16s. |
