Just trying to be informed , are there any advantages to the roll crimp , besides looks?? can you roll crimp a hull more than once? and is so how many times can you expect the hull to be reused?
for those that roll crimp how much slower is it really to do this instead of fold crimp?
I know they went to the fold crimp to save time in manufacturing.
I can see where roll crimping makes a little more sence when producing a smaller 2 1/2" shell as you would not need to worry about the reloader not crimping properly or having to pay to buy an additional bushing, although you need to pay for the roll crimper.

Lumpy,
Yes, roll crimping is slower. But I load some pretty good spreader loads, with the roll crimp. I use the Polywad Spreader insert as the over shot wad, then roll crimp. Roll crimped loads, will generally have a lower pressure than the same load fold crimped. Yes, you can load them more than one time.
It's hard to roll crimp a hull that has been fold crimped. So, if your going to use hulls that have been fold crimped, you should cut them down first. Or buy new hulls and roll them. I roll crimp shells for 10, 12, and 16 gauge.
All low pressure loads, for my Damascus guns.

Roll crimps are not the high volume shooter rather they make for a specialized hull with components other than the standard plastic wad----Yes they can be used but it is more common to use over the powder/shot wads. These make for great hunting or low pressure loads
