Gentlemen,
At this time of year, coming into Christmas time I like to reflect on our family traditions and thank the Lord for his gifts to my country and my family.
In our Pa traditional Grouse hunting, Fly fishing family, we have owned Classic American and German Best 16 gauge double guns sense way before I was ever born. I have recovered more than a few Classic American double guns that were stolen from my Great Grandfathers home, shortly after his death. Some I am still searching to recover even today. Many of our L.C. Smith and LeFever double guns have been handed down to me for safe keeping, the men who originally owned these guns now hunt in Gods never ending Grouse forest and I am honored to own their prize double guns.
I thank God for my Country, my family and the founding fathers of the USA, that have provided me & my family with a life style like few other people have ever known.
all the best,
Pine Creek/Dave

Swampy16,
I have always wanted a #5 20 gauge gun also, unfortunately I never got my hands on one of them, and now they go for more money than most peoples homes.
all the best,
Pine Creek/Dave

Those are the nicest L.C. Smith shotguns I have ever seen. I have three in my safe -- my grandfather's 12 specialty grade that was his duck gun, plus a 16 and 20 I picked up as restoration projects. Great to see such nice L.C. Smiths! |

Gentlemen,
Thanks for all the nice comments. I do have other L.C. Smith double guns in different gauges, the 16's are my favorite guns to Grouse hunt with. IMO there are no finer guns. I purchased the modern 28 Gauge L.C. Smith made for Marlin by Zabala back in 2007, a real nice side plated modern 28 gauge box lock double gun. Unfortunately no where near the high quality side lock double gun, as the original Hunter Arms gun. Marlin could have contracted Ugartechera to build a real side lock #V gun, with Brown Rotary Bolt, unfortunately Marllin chose to build a side plated Box Lock double gun that did not go over real well with the L.C. Smith owners, even though it is a nice SXS Box Lock 28 gauge gun.
all the best,
Pine Creek/Dave
