read below that my go to powder, universal, will not be available for a while, so while at the trap range today they had a 8 lb keg for $235 out the door, bought it taking a chance I can make it work in my black rem hulls. I use a Mec 650, does any one have any experience with it? problems? suggestions before I load up a few boxes to test? |

Seeing as it is a good 12 gauge heavy load powder and a good 20 gauge target load, I would bet it would be good for 16 as well.
I've never used it though.

Most of the data for WSF in the 16 gauge was published for the Winchester compression formed hull.
WSF would probably be a great choice for the 16 but there isn't much data for it.
The Lyman 5th has one load for a 1 oz. of lead shot using the SP16 wad. I would imagine you would need a filler to get the correct wad column height. |
