Some how I lost all my load data that i have been building for a long time and now I have to start the search over and hit the patterning board again to find good patterning loads. I really enjoyed shooting some of the DR-16 loads so much so I bought 3000 of them. But some how I got derailed into making the perfect 1oz load and lost track of the DR-16 loads. I also lost access to the low pressure yahoo doc that so many of these loads were on.

If some buddy could share some DR-16 loads with Chedite hulls and primers I would appreciate it. Or help me access the low pressure yahoo doc that would be great. I am ready to explore this great wad once again.

Here's one for you: I had Tom Armbrust test it for me when I first started reloading the previous (purple) Herters:

Herters hull
Cheddite primer
17.3 grains Alliant 20/28
DR-16 wad
7/8 oz shot
Avg velocity 1182 fps
Avg pressure 7420 psi

You might have an issue if you don't have 20/28 powder. Hard to find right now.

I'm using a very slightly modified version of that same recipe in the new Herters (or new Winchesters--same hull). All I did to compensate for the shorter hulls was to drop down one powder bushing. About 0.7 grains less. Plus tinkered a bit with crimp depth. Have shot a few boxes of those at skeet. About 25 degrees last time I did that, and judging by sound, the temperature didn't seem to make a difference. The new hulls reload well with that change to the recipe.

I have enough 20/28 to keep going for awhile, but I'm about to run out of DR-16's. Anyone else reloading 7/8 in the Herters hulls with 20/28 powder but a different wad? Thanks.

Scuttlebutt is that DR16 wads may be available again this summer.
