Is that your only complaint; they ain't purple ? You're just pulling my leg, right? . A few moths ago these were rarer than hen's teeth around here. Some coming back now but at $15.84 around here. Good shooting, and they reload great for me. |

I just got two flats of Herters 16s from Cabelas. They were about the same price for me, but that's because I have a Cabelas credit card and had a bunch of club points to burn. |

Thanks that is the best price in at least 3 almost 4 years. No sales tax and I think it was flat rate $12 shipping no matter how many you order plus $3 shipping insurance. Could have edited the shipping insurance out but left it at the end. All in for 6 flats was $106 a flat so the more you buy the cheaper it is. At least that is my story and I'm sticking with it.
Couple of weeks ago was able to score 4 flats of Federal 7.5 at $135 a flat plus tax from Midway of all places and they are back up to $200 a flat now.
Purple is always good. I have lots of purple Herters for shoot and done with the SA. And of course purple Federal purple. But also thousands of Cheddite green and blue. One for winter and 7.5 and the other for summer and #8. Have a couple hundred Cheddite red including ~500 Win Ched Mike Campbell sent me out of the blue. Now I will have more red to add to the collection. They will be my 7/8 oz. #8.5 skeet loads once I make empties. Thanks again for the heads up. |

I'm not a fan of Wal Mart. But if you're in a bind and don't need a lot of shells, our local store here always seems to have a few boxes of the 1 oz Winchester Super X, usually 8 shot. About $16 a box, so the best idea is to stock up and not be in a bind. |

Well somehow I ended up with 12 flats of them at $106 all in delivered to the house. Thank you once again!
Got to shoot them today finally and the Cheddite primers pierced in my Competition 16. Oh well I have enough SxS and SA 16 ga. guns to use them in. And think it is the straw that makes me send the Comp 16 to Coles to have the firing pins shortened for Cheddite primers. |

I'd rather be using one of them right now. |

So much for that. Maybe they should have put a limit on the # of flats per person. |

Yeah now they are back where most others are and free shipping is now only for spending $1,000 or more. These drop ship places eventually raise prices after starting off with low prices and cheap shipping. Many don't last long.
There are tons of the Winchester 16 ga. shells out there right now. 2 new places that have the lowest price are $11.99 a box and flat rate shipping charge of $12.50 I just put 60 boxes in one to test them out.
No idea how valid they are but likely good, most on ammoseek.com are although they are not vetted.

Like the original post here they don't charge sales tax either.
I go through at least a flat a week this time of year and use ammoseek a lot. Not just for 16 ga. if I am going to reload it is only for the 16 anymore. And some of the prices are a tipping point to just buy factory for the hulls if no other reason.
Edit: This place appears to be legit |
