Can't believe Wisconsin would sell the USA down the drain
I know this is not political. But our sport has not very long life left.

Fond memories of Wisconsin.
Got treated to a fish fry from the owner of AAA Sporting in Spooner.
Shot my first ruffed grouse there with a 1949 16 ga A5.
Shot my second with a 16 ga AYA 453.
Felt welcomed and can't wait to go back.
I think I'm not worried about my sport.

I grew up there.
Hunted ducks and geese on Horicon Marsh and pheasants and rabbits on a farm not far from there.
Fished muskies in Eagle River and Rhinelander.
Met a southern belle from New Orleans who couldn't/wouldn't stand winter so moved south after Vietnam.
Solid people in Wisconsin, solid people in Louisiana.
I would not sweat it too much.

Regards,
Chuck

I really like Wisconsin and spend a lot of time there. Heck they don't even ask for my passport anymore when I cross the River from Mn. into Wi.

I'm with Chuck and Jeff. Wisconsin. Where they believe ATF should be a convenience store.

I used to bowhunt there every fall. The landowner died and I lost my hunting place. The deer population was great.

Those reactions is just what I expected. Same reactions before 2008. See where we're at now.

I would like to understand the Courts decision about? Can you give some details so I can at least look up the case?

Borrowed trouble, I think. Nothing to look at here . . . Move along . . . .

The vote was 55%-45% for the winner. Looks like democracy in action. A vote of the people.

Here's another WI resident (but native Iowan). I doubt the Supreme Court will have much to say about guns. They don't get to make laws. They can only rule on laws if the law is challenged. Our state govt is very much split right now. Supreme Court has a liberal majority (1 vote). The State Assembly is solidly Republican. Governor is a Democrat.

If you want to be concerned about a state, Michigan would be a better choice. They're now solidly blue. Just flipped from being "right to work" (where you can't be forced to join the union) to "union shop" (where the union can make you pay for services even if you're not a member.) They're the first state to have flipped in that direction in a long time.

I recall seeing the WI court election noted on national news. the gun grabbers were elated. Seems that that says something - which isn't good.
