Colonel Townsend Whelen said,'only accurate rifles are interesting'. My version of that would be,'only 16ga shotguns are interesting'. Amiright?

case1775,

I would say only 16 gauge double guns are the most interesting!

Although I just purchased a new colt Stainless Steel .357/38 hand gun that is pretty darn nice also.

all the best,

Been around the horn on all. But will say I've been a 16 man from 12 years of age. I'm almost 76 and never give up on 16 or god.

As a hunter more than a collector, I like the bargains that restored guns can represent.
Especially 16 gauge guns. When I go to collector shows coupled with shoots, it's common to see haughty collectors sneer at great guns that have been re-blued, have new case colors, had the chokes opened up or just about any kind of work done to them that makes them not original.

I have swooped in more than once when its time to pack up and bought something that was picked apart by collectors all weekend for a great deal.

Here's a few beauties that have been restored or had custom work done. All 16's.

Thanks!

Foxes are definitely my favorite, although I like Parkers and LC Smith's too.

Left - Right: Original XE 16, Custom XE 16 , Restored A 16 , & 2 Sterlingworth's. I lied earlier, one of the Sterly's is a 20 on closer inspection.

I love my 16's but lately I've found my 12ga SBT's to be pretty interesting Wink ...

Really nice collection of SBT’s!

I’ve had the chance to buy a few over the years but never pulled the trigger on any except for a Baker that I used to have.

Only 16 gauge SxS are interesting . . . oh, and O/U's . . . and repeaters . . . Oh, and I forgot, 10's, 12's, 14's, 20's, 24's, 28's, 32's, 9mm garden guns . . . and rifles, all of them, almost, and pistols, some of them, and ah . . . and ah . . . airplanes and motorcycles and cars and boats and girls . . . machine tools, hand tools, houses, books . . . and girls. There, I think I've definitely got it now . . . maybe.
