Four years ago he posted a link to an unmarked sweet sixteen. I purchased the gun and I have been hooked ever since. The Auto 5’s keep multiplying

When are you going to branch out to the variants ? The Remington and Savage versions that were made here, such as the Savage 720, 755/755A, 775/775A and Remington Model 11 ?

I have a 755A that I just refinished the wood and did a partial rebuild (new main recoil spring, new brass friction ring). It has a relatively low round as I know its full provenance, but time took its toll on the recoil spring. |

I've been blamed for worse things, I think. Doesn't look like it caused very much harm in this case. I'd like to share some of the credit with Morngstar, his writings about them got me looking closer at all of those "plain" A-5 16s with gold triggers and matted plain barrels. |

I’ll look at the variants after I get the rest of the Auto 5’s I want |

Where'd you manage to get that extensive collection of identical screwdrivers? That's pretty impressive in its own right. |

laughing thinking the same thing and (assuming all 16's)...are there any A5 16's left for the rest of us??
Impressive collection, no doubt, partial to the English stocks, Wow!
Cross reference/compare to the craftsmanship to today's "field" shotguns, no contest, wow! |

Haha I’m an electrician and love tools as much as guns. Have lots of Klein screw sticks laying around |

And let”s not forget the less well known Springfield version. I’ll defer to the younger memories here but seems it was a 745. |
