Picked up a case of older Winchester Super X 1oz #8. Are the hulls worth reloading to anyone? Bases are aluminum ? with some oxidation on them.
Thanks
.

I've reloaded them---don't expect many reloads.

I think the silver colored bases are actually zinc coated steel. A magnet will tell. Winchester made a bunch of those at their own plant back in the 1990s after they dropped the compression formed hulls. The plastic was very tough and could be reloaded multiple times. Unfortunately, after a few years they quit making them and outsourced their 16-gauge production to Italy and then Australia. The Italian made shells had quite a bit more velocity than they said on the box. The Australians were closer to spec.
