Interesting piece, would like to know more about it but don't have a loose $1800 to find out.

Does anyone on here have any insight into what this 16ga rifle would have been used for or even is? Maybe actually a .65 cal mistaken as a 16ga??

Inquiring minds.....

Where's those face palm and we're not worthy emojis when you need them...

Thanks for sharing drcook, incredible, something new everyday. The unique game/competition explains the extreme comb angle of the stock. Incredible.

Agreed, I was fascinated to read about the heavy guns and unique bird targets.

My wife has relatives in Germany. We visited there about ten years ago. One of the highlights of the trip for me was when they took us to dinner at the local shooting club.
The club house was filled with photos and trophies and mounts from many many decades, and schnapps.

I was surprised to learn that our very urban relatives had been members and competed at a local schutzenverein "shooting club" in the 70s.
