Ran across this just now and thought someone out there might like to know.

The usual disclaimer: I have no monetary interest in this gun!

OK the world has tilted on it's axis.

Never thought I would ever see an IJ Skeeter selling for almost the same price as a Winchester Model 21.

The Skeeter is just a gussied up Herculese which in it's day was considered a Hardeware Store gun.

The best we can hope for is that no one pays these prices. If they do, I hope they are soon eliminated from the gene pool. Twisted Evil

I think somebody must be paying these prices. You just see too many offerings like this these days. I don't watch closely enough to know if they move them, or if the sellers are just trolling.

This is just a dealers typical operation's.

Last year I bought a Fox CE-Grade 12ga from an interenet private seller who said the the gun was restored and the barrels perfect. When the gun arrived and I inspected it the left barrel had a ring bulge that had a poor repair attempted but was still visable. I sent the gun back and all was good with me on the deal.

I initially made the deal and payed $2200.00 for the gun. Two weeks later Dennis Dawson had the same gun which he purchased after I sent it back listed for $4400.00 and didn't mention the ring bulge!

Just remember the old caveat "Buyer be Ware"
