Heads up you don’t see these barrels on inexpensive guns much. If I wasn’t flush with 16ga sxs’s I would refinish and have it restocked with nice wood. These barrels would cost over 10k to make today.

I'm willing to bet that a good cleaning would reveal that a restock is not needed. Clean it up, point up the checkering maybe, freshen up the finish.
That is a top-quality gun. Seriously. Someone here should buy it. I already have a great French 16 ga sxs, a bespoke French 12 ga sxs that is "as good a boxlock as you'll find anywhere" and an empty gun-buying account. |

Has plain wood but is very rare to find 2 barrels made of one piece of steel. Steyr made some also pre war. Today Longthorne ( 25-100k guns) makes them. Just thought someone here may be interested, not my gun and don’t know seller. Good luck. |
