I know a lot of folks on here are fans of Boss Ammunition and I was too until I read this.

Anybody supporting a complete lead shot ban is supporting the death of using vintage guns for clay target shooting.

And also a complete ban on lead shot for hunting.

I won't buy from them again.

If you feel the same way I do, call or email and let Boss know.

I agree sir, I have not purchased from them sense this came out. To me they became another Woke company that the American Sportsman definitely does not need.

Just like electric cars, they have a niche but don't try to shove one down my throat.

I think it's only a matter of time before lead shot is banned for hunting everywhere. We can proactively make the changes to nontoxic ammunition ourselves or let others -- lawmakers, antihunters, etc. -- do it for us.

I don't believe any of these groups are proposing a lead shot ban for target shooting. I live in California where we've had a statewide ban on lead ammunition for hunting for several year now but we can still use lead for target shooting (most places) and fishing. I have a safe full of vintage and modern 16 gauge shotguns I can still enjoy, no problem. Interestingly, I have children who have grown up hunting in California that have never known or hunted or experienced lead shot and have no special feelings or sentimentality for one particular metal over another. They just want to go hunting.

Lead has been banned for waterfowl hunting for decades across most of the continent and waterfowl hunting seems more popular now than ever.

With regard to BOSS, that company has done as much if not more than any other to perpetuate the 16 gauge by producing modern, high quality nontoxic 16 gauge loads from the inception of the company. Hard to be anit-BOSS as a 16 gauge fan.

They’ve been woke for years. Back when King George Floyd was high on drugs, passing counterfeit money, and doing all his other lengthy list of shenanigans, they got right in the middle of the virtue signaling.

I won’t buy from them. I disagree with banning lead shot anyway. Once lead shot is banned for hunting, target shooting is next. Don’t kid yourself. I believe the only reason companies are against lead shot is to force you to buy their product.

It's not a matter of being "woke", it's a matter of boosting profits.

If lead is eliminated, their type of products are the ONLY reasonable alternative other than steel. Don't be fooled, their "ban lead" lobbying is about nothing more than money.

I had an ex-girlfriend who said she wanted to buy this one brand of kayak because it was 100% recycled plastic. I've been in the plastics industry around 30 years, and I told her they are not using recycled plastic because of "the environment", they're doing it because recycled polymer costs at least 20-30% less than prime polymer.

I told her "Trust me, if it was the other way around, they would find a way to put the environmental spin on using virgin polymer"

And their kayaks cost more than other brands too, selling on the "We care about the environment" BS. It's all about profit.
