Anyone know where one could buy new or once fired Activ hulls, 16 ga of course. The ones that don’t have a metal base. I have a few but they’ve been loaded many times.
I know they’ve been out of production for decades, but someone may have a stash that they don’t need anymore.
Thanks |

Df
I have a friend that goes to Argentina every year to shoot doves by the thousands. He tells me all they use down their is active hulls. He said each shooter has 2 gun handlers that keep guns loaded for him from morning to noon as fast as they can load them. All shells are active. So I know they are still made.
I do have 100 20 ga. Active brand new hulls in the bag. Primed never been loaded. But 16 ga I only have a few left for duck season. Bill |

Thanks Bill.
I had some 12 and 20 ga Activ new hulls, but used them till they were no longer useable. The 50 16 ga that I have are on their last leg. |

What will you do with them?
Is there something that only they work great for, like maybe a large volume steel load? Or do you just love them?
Just wondering as I have like 50 I have been saving, looking for their "best use". |

| Just curious what are you planning on loading in them? 20 years ago or so I had 100 or so active 16s i was loading for hunting I ran through them I remember loading them with 1 1/8 of shot and 4756 I think I had some active wads as well they worked well as I recall. I gave up on them as all my favorite component get discontinued |

I will load one ounce loads, over Unique. If I find a recipe, I may load some 1 1/8 ounce loads., but likely they will get worn out shooting one ounces at sporting clays.
There’s nothing special about these hulls, though I do like them more than cheddites. They’re just an odd one that I enjoy playing with. |

Df,
I was able to get some of these 16ga Activ hulls today, UNFIRED! Like brand new, never been crimped. Don't know where he got them.
I only got 50 which I will be using myself. But my buddy might end up selling me more, as his health is dropping and he is kinda unloading his guns... I bought his 11-48 16ga this month.
If I get a bunch, I will let you know! I just need enough for a few boxes of an odd hunting load, color coded.

Thanks Dave.
Hope your friends health gets better, but if he wants to sell some more hulls, I’m interested.
