Just a curiosity question as I am currently not in the same state as my reloading materials. Has anyone ever experienced powder migration issues between cb100 wads and activ 16 hulls? It’s not a combination I’ve worked up before as I always have used sg16 on with that hull. I have, however, an abundance of cb100’s I’m looking to use.

Active holds more volume. The over the powder is much smaller than the interior has more room. I always expanded the over powder with good success. I have 20 ga. Active wads but know 17 Active. Bill

From memory, the Active 16ga hulls I had way back had a very significant draft angle taper on the ID due to their molding process. Not unlike the compression formed Win hulls. I'd bet the CB wads fit w/o to much fuss.

Back when I could get those hulls I found that the WAA16 wads(yes, it was back in the early 90's) did not seal well at all and I had to order the G-28 wads which the SG16 replaces.

ChRlie 16 . Forgive my big fingers and the misspelling. The 16 ga wad works fine if you expand the powder cup on the CB WAD. I do that also on the new cheddite hulls being there straight wall hulls. Expand .002 give u .oo4 over all. Been doing this for 10 years at least.Never a problem with the CB wads. Saved heck alot of money. I had some G28 but when I ran out of them I started using CB wads.
