Might have bulged a barrel and had to shorten them. In the condition it is pictured at and barrel set up, it looks a little high on the price. |

I would love a double triggered o/u but the price is to high for the condition of the gun. It would be a great gun for the conditions I hunt but by the time I got the stock bent for a lefty and any other work it needed I would have to much money in it. I'll just hang on to my Flues brush gun for the time being. |

I've seen that before on combination guns to adjust a set trigger on the rifle barrel. That's a fairly old gun as the newer 201E has game scene engraving, it appears to be a 200E. |

The screw adjusts the trigger. With short barrels I think the seller is $1000 too high. is that a sheep on the right side of the stock or some kind of dog? Actually, the price is quite fair. You know, I have a 16 ga. double with cut barrels... and after we sell that bridge in Brooklyn...
If anyone buys it... Enjoy. |

The "THING"behind the triger looks just like the single set trigger adjustment on my Merkel drilling, which is a 16X16 over 8JRS. I'm wondering if this shotgun started out with an additional set of barrels in a double rifle or cape gun configuration. The set trigger shown is usually associated with a rifle rather than a shotgun. And the barrell lenght isn't that uncommon for a Merkrel. My drilling is just about the same length. Just a thought.
And for a Merkel, that seems to be almost a smoking deal. |
