Any reloading 16's with Bismuth? Bad or good? Recepies? Shot size for decoyed duck? Tell me all I need to know but was afraid to ask.
Cheers! |

Yep. Good. Recipes available from Hornady, Ballistic Products, et.ux.
I like 6's in the 16, when you consider the density of bismuth alloyed with tin as compared to lead alloyed with antimony, the bismuth isn't much lighter. so the performance is generally comparable in my opinion. You'll probably want to consider buffer as well although current Bi shot isn't quite as brittle as the earlier version.
I have used 5's but I thought the pattern was a bit thin. I'm shooting 1 ounce. |

For decoying ducks I used #6 bismuth but we let our ducks work in close. Most of the time close enough to see if any of them are wearing jewelry. |
