That is a very lovely French shotgun! To say that has some nice wood would be to state the obvious, but also equally impressive is the adornment in terms of the carving on the grip and the nicely (and tastefully) done engraving.
What can you tell us about it? When do you think it was made? I am very curious to hear your range/field report on how it shoots.

Particulars on this gun; made by Manufacture de Armes, St Etienne, or MAS. This company was a major supplier of French military arms but it is obvious that they knew how make other firearms. Weight is 6lb 2 oz, barrels are 680mm or 26 ¾”. It has .016 choke in right and .043 in left!!! Stock is 14 3/8 to a checkered butt, drop comb 1 3/8” drop hell 2 3/8 ‘No idea when it was made but I would guess; 30s or late 40s, it has auto ejectors. It has a single underlug and a concealed rib extension with a different idea on lock-up at rear of the barrels and standing breech. I have seen this used on German guns. Pics of this below. Jim A.
