Just wanted to say howdy. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, and enjoying the conversations. There's nothing of note that I joined on April Fool's Day, I think.
I mentioned 16ga.com on the radio a couple of weeks ago, and I'll continue to refer to it as a good source of info on the guns, ammo, lore and history of the 16.
When I was growing up, my best friend, David Tarver, carried a Browning Sweet Sixteen, while I had my mother's 20-gauge Model 12, complete with Polychoke. Mom had cut the stock down to about 12 inches LOP, so it was just right for a 10-year old! Still have that gun.
I recently started shooting a couple of 16-gauge doubles, and needed to catch up with what's happening with this gauge.
Thanks for sharing!

Their is a very good bunch of guys at this sight and plenty of humor. Thats something you got to have if you are a 16'er. |

Welcome to our society, Tom. I can't think of a better way to promote
our collective fondness of the 16ga than to have a member with his own coast-to-coast radio show! The more the word is spread about our favorite scattergun gauge, the more clout we have with gun and ammo manufacturers. |

Welcome Tom-If there is something 16 gauge or shotgun I need to know, this is the place where you get answers, honest opinions, the wisdom of many years of experience from a generally good natured honest, humorous bunch. I am honored to be included in the ranks. And heck yeah do a little of that 16 Gauge shmoozing for us when you can, always great to have another supplier of either guns or ammo and I believe numbers is the name of the game, the more potential customers the better the odds of new 16 Gauge Products.

Welcome aboard Tom. You are in for quite a ride. If you think this site is getting a bit slow or boring, just say something about doubles with barrels that ain't straight, or anything non-positive about Italian shotguns, then duck for cover, cause you will need it. |

Well, you know . . .
I was thinking that the SxS is overrated, and not really needed any more.
And, it's long past time for a three-and-a half-inch magnum 16 gauge.

Yup, thats one way to start a donny brook for sure. Better mine sweep a pint of stout on your way under the table. Things are about to get right lively. |

Welcome Tom,
I'm also new here and new to the 16 guage. Got my first less than 3 weeks ago. Folks here are super friendly, even to those of us without "star power". Didn't know you had a radio show. Just getting back into shooting after a long time gone...but thats not a worthwhile story. Somehow I doubt I can hear your radio show locally. Do any of the stations that carry your program stream it on the net?
Regards....2few |

2Few . . .
Several stations stream the radio show. You also can hear it on the XM radio system.
Maybe the most convenient for some is to download the MP3 files, either directly or through the iTunes Store (free). Details at www.guntalk.com. Click on the LISTEN link for the info.
On Sunay I broke the news about Senator Charles Schumer signing up for an NRA life membership and getting his concealed carry license.

Welcome Tom, got here just a few months back myself, and I've learned more here from this incredible bunch of guys in these 3 months than in the last 10 years ....about reloading for the 16, American doubles, etc, and it's a lot of fun too!
You'll love it....

Hey Tom,
Welcome aboard. Tell us about your shotguns. Which one do you grab first when going afield.
Note to Tom... if it's not a 16, lie. |
