cause there's just not enough things to do wtih my spare time.

RBL update, my buddy , that paid in full first of Nov 05 , just got a email that his would be ready to ship fri, after getting a reply that they had not info on his ship date, and his responce that they go ahead and cancel the order. we'll see if it comes. Makes me glad I canceled mine a year ago. Love the replacement I got Merk 1620 . Again thanks to all of you that helped with info.

Nice boat, I'm impressed.

Do you know the history of this boat. I'm sure there were not many made for private citizens in the early war years.

Twice, I think your joking. 1964 41' hatteras. It was nice till I decided I wanted a express, as opposed to a flybridge. I kinda think of it as a upgrade to a fox, only a sh*t load more expensive. If I'd stop messing around with this thing I could afford those classics that Rev and Brad shoot, or about a 1,000 of those sauer hunks of junks that the guy from LI is allways going on about.

Well Hun, I always heard that a boat is a hole in the water that you pour money into. And from my personal experience, It is right on the mark. Laughing

Good luck

High, right now it's a place in a storage facility I pour money into.

Clutch, sounds like a plan. Love to kill tuna, maybe more than pheasents

The two happiest days in a boat owners life:

The day he gets his first one.

The day he gets rid of his last one.

(Goes for pleasure horses too)

Again, I'm dragged into this mess.

You know I never understood your handle til I learned about the boat. I thought it was...hun shatt, not huns hat. What engines are in her?

B.O.A.T. Break Out Another Thousand.

Good luck with the boat. Get her wet soon.

Had a pair of Detriot 6v53n's around 200hp a side on fresh rebuilds. Slowwwwwwwwwwwww, 15-17knt cruise. Then I got the bright idea to cut the top(aero dynamics) and gut everything and rebuild with composite material, instead of the over built 3/4" ply. Hoped to get to the 19-20knt cruise. Then I came across the motors in the pic's. Detroit 6v63T's. twin turbo at around 400hp per side. They had been setting in a Bert 31 for 12 years , unused as the owner had died. A friend bought the boat and wanted something newer and smaller(cummins or yanmars) . Picked them up for a song. They only have 700 hrs from new and came with gears(and they were the correct ratio) downside was a 31 bert is a REALLY wet boat so lots of water damage and all the injectors and pumps had varnish damage from the diesel setting so long.
Short version, I paid 6k for them, they needed another 6k to get them back to a new like state(new injectors, fuel pumps, rebuilt cooling system, atl's, starters, and a really cool paint can rebuild) now with the changes, diet and new power I should be at a right a 30knt WOT. which I'm good with, as much faster than that and we start to keel walk. (TJC when that happens you get the feeling in your stomach kinda like when one of your pitbulls took that bird from me, and I was afraid she was going to stop at my throat)

Got any more pix of the Slab? Personally, I think he's handsome beast. Of course, I am pretty partial to Labs and Lews. Good hunters, good friends.

MGF,
Don't encourage him. Wink

I think that pic must have been a puppy pic because the last time I saw the Slab, he wouldn't fit in a wide angle lens. Razz

Mary would love that. We went to lots of places like that on Life Insurance Club trips. We have 3 boats but no ships like you have there. She likes big project guys too (especially me cuz the latest big project we have going is remodeling the old mansion she bought on the lake) so I am sure we will have lots of fun. You have sounded pretty interesting since my first days as a 16er. Next season might time out perfect for us.
