Would any of you trade a classic 16 Lefever, Fox, Parker, Smith, etc. for a new gun like this Hatfield 16? I know new guns don't have soul, but WOW, look at that wood! |

Might trade something else, but not my Foxes. Dandy stock and stockwork though. |

I'd trade the Rev's sweet Elsie for it, but nothing I own would leave home for it. |

I have to agree, that I would not trade anything that I have for this gun, though I do (contrary to some) like the straight grip and unfortunately I do not currently have one.
The shotguns I do have, I like. They server me well. All that Fu Fu (fancy wood and engraving) is just that. Anything can be made to look good in a picture.
My field grade Elsie's and my Sweet Sixteen are each as beautiful as that gun, in my eye.
Now there was an Elsie on GB a few days ago that was awsome......If I had deeper pockets I just might have gone for that Ol Girl? Fu Fu not withstanding, but THAT was an Elsie! |

Welcome roll crimp Another Sweet Elsie love slave with class, good taste, and an appreciation for what matters-the inside and not the outside (Boy that IS incredible wood though )
(BTW: we'll get ours when ol' Dave has to sell off his Parkers to send his son to Michigan instead of the local Community College ) |

I don't know about that statement. I would trade 2 nice, Damascus, 12 gauge, Parkers. For a straight stocked, 20 gauge, Damascus, Parker. |

That's a nice looking gun, but I'm definitely an American classic doubles guy, so the answer to all those you listed, for me anyway, is "No." Beside, I thought you are now Uncle Dan Fan anyway? |

Rev,
I don't think there's a nicer looking gun out there than a Graded Lefever.
I have never had the pleasure of holding one in person. And would probably trade a Parker or two for one, if I had the chance. |

roll crimp, that's the nicest upgrade on an Elsie that I've ever seen. In most cases, they have a tendency to over do it because of all the side plate area. Just a matter of personal taste, I guess. |

That single trigger looks weird though. If it was in the usual place the length of pull would be close to only 13". This is the first one I've ever noticed like that so don't know anything about it for sure but it looks like it may have been a double trigger and someone just removed the back trigger.
