Is this really a serious question. Just kidding! All questions are serious. Britts have always been my favorite bird dogs. Sad to say my last one died several years ago and I never got another dog. With a Springer, you better walk fast, something I can't do anymore. I'll take the Britt any day.

Points well taken, Mod 97. Things have gone well for us so far (and our Brit is 1 1/2). We've taken the attitude of doing nothing unless there is a need, following the motto of Viscount Faulkland: "If it is not necessary to change, it is necessary not to change."

its easy to tell.
The springer when cuaght counter-surfinng replies: "Ya, so what"
The brit goes to "Cute", you won't hit a cute dog, would you?

There are three varaite of the Brit, the Orange/White, the darker Liver/White and the Rouen ( the colors are not distinct and has mottling through-out.

The Springer is either the liver/white or black/white.

Both have outstanding stamina, my Springer was a hunting fool, numerous times I end up carrying her back to the car, she just keep going till dropped.
She would watch me get gear out for hunting and sit/lie quietly, once seeing th guncase, she start jumping at the door.

The Brit is just happy to get out and RUN...
