Some interesting information came my way recently:
For every 2500' increase in elevation, patterning results reveal patterns that indicate a change in density equivalent to a +.005 increase in choke constriction---e.g.your IC bored gun shoots Lt.Mod/Mod-------barrells bored Modified shoot I.Mod or Full, etc.
(the .005 reference is for 12 gauge---16's may perform as if they were slightly 'tighter' .006/7)
Additionally, average velocity increases 75fps for each 2500' increment above sea level. |

Alright! Just the excus.... er, reason I've been looking for. At 7800 feet elevation, I'm shooting full choke at skeet. No wonder I miss low 8 so often...
