I should receive my new 16g SO tommorrow. I told Cody to pick out the prettiest wood so I dont know if Im getting a bright or black receiver, matte od blue barrels. It'll be a 28" which I wanted and was all she had in stock in 16g. The suspense is killing me. I haven't had a SS or a 16g in over 40 yrs.
Not that Im shotgun deprived (ask my bride!) Ive got a Rem Mdl 31L 12g with both skeet and trap barrels, a Franchi mdl 712 for ducks, a 20g lighting superposed Browning and a 28g Rem 48.
Im not going to get much sleep tonite! |

I have no doubt, you will NOT regret that purchase. My DeHaan SO 16ga is a wonderful gun to hunt with and great for shooting sporting clays. Fit and finish is as good as any $2000-$2500 shotgun I have shot. If the wood was just a little better, it would give even more expensive guns a run for their money. I got mine for under $800. |

I picked up the new SO yesterday and Im delighted. Black receiver, blue barrels and the wood is nice although quite dark. Wood to metal fit is excellent, better than my Browning superposed. Weight is 6lbs 13oz. The gun comes up very well for me, my eye is centered between the barrels and I see only an inch or so of rib. This was a concern as Im 6'3" and 215lbs and most stocks on stock guns are designed for persons of average size.
Hopefully Ill be able to get out on Thurs and break some clays. As I mentioned earlier I dont have a digital camera. I may take some film pictures and have Walgreens put them on a disc for me.
Someone asked if I had received my bag. Yup and its very nice. |

good luck with the bag, and the gun. You'll have a great time with both.
What the LOP? you must be over 15" . Is the SO a sxs or are the barrels on wrong way up |

Hunshatt
The SO is a SXS and you are right, LOP should probably be longer for me than the standard 14.5". However the gun seems to fit very well. Ill know better after shooting a few rounds of clays. Go to www.dhshotsuns.com for pictures, prices and info on these guns. Thanks for your interest. |

dude...
The proper term is "under over anodda", not wrong way up. |
