16 ga. Sterly Ejector. 26" #4 wt. barrels choked .013/.030.. 2 3/4" chambers. 6 1/2lbs. Pistol grip. Two triggers. Refinished wood. Pad added. Aftermarket case came to me with the gun. She'll go to you the same way. I paid $2300.00 plus 200.00 sales tax. That is what I'll let her go for. $2500.00. Non-negotiable.

I can't seem to get the photos to come up. Send me an e-mail and I'll send you a photo.

16 ga. Belgian boxlock. Ejectors. 26" barrels. Choked Sk/Sk. (a nice way to say cyl/cyl.) The barrels may or may not have been cut. Extensive game scene engraving. Horn butt plate and trigger guard. Two triggers. German Retailers name in gold on the barrels. That, plus the Germanic engraving is what fooled me in the first place. Next time, I'll just look at the proof marks. $1750.

16-4 ga. Francott Knockabout. 26" barrels. Ejectors. 2 3/4" chambers. 6 1/2 lbs. Straight grip/splinter. Aftermarket pad. $1250.00

I just wanted to provide you with an update. A member from Posen sent me a PM about my "Belgian" gun. It seems that Mr. Jaruszewski was a very renowned maker of the time, who used barrels from Belgium. Hence the Belgian proofs. That does seem to explain a lot, as there are other marks that do not match anything Belgian. I always believed that the initials on the horn buttplate were the actual maker of the gun. They now may well be.

That still may not change anything, as if I were to keep her, I would need to invest some more money into stock bending. (I'm a left-handed shooter).

Regards,

Peter Weber

I know the same guy. I see his lame face every morning ... in my mirror.

None of them are bent lefty. Thats why they're available. The 5 1/2 lb Jaruszewski is cast off about 1/8". The Francott and the Fox are both neutral right now. If I start bending, I'm starting with the 5 1/2 lb Jaruszewski. But, then, off comes the wrong side cheek piece. Maybe a grip-ectomy. And another few ounces. And, I'm into the gun for another $6-700.00.

Let the dialogue begin.

Where in Mass are you ? I spend some time in Stephentown NY. Just a few miles west of Jiminy Peak, Mass. I do a lot of preserve hunting at Lidos in Hillsdale, NY. Also by coincidence, just a few miles west of Catamount, Mass. Catamount and Jiminy Peak are ski areas.

Pgg, thats the waife, with the misspent youth. He's just down the street from me.

Now maybe given the history of the polish gun, you and I should talk.
Sprocket can look else where.
