Took the Sterlingworth to the trap range today. First let me say that I'm not a trap shooter; haven't shot real trap since I was in high school (a LONG time ago). Mostly we use a hand thrower or a little spring loaded trap to throw a few rock to sharpen up for bird season.

So anyway, first shots with the Fox, and first time on a trap range in eons. There was a fellow there, old seasoned trap shooter, nice guy but a bit of a character; had lots of advice. Saw my little 16 and said "When's that from; 1895?" I allowed it was a little newer than that. Then he said "Well, some guys can shoot them side by sides; most can't."

So I was a little nervous, but I felt better after I broke the first 15 straight; ended up 21/25 on the first round.

Shot about the same on the second round; he was still hovering in the background giving pointers to some of the other shooters. I finally said "Hey; where's my pointers?" and he said "Got nothing to say to you; you shoot that side by side of yours pretty good."

Anyway the point was not to brag on my shooting, but just to say that the Sterlingworth performed well, and she's a keeper! Now, if she'll just help me hit quail and pheasants like she helped me hit those blue rock, it could be a long love affair!
