MC-Very good looking dogs. That 4th photo, the uphill point, is great.

We had an early hunt here for in-state people only; Public land and non-lead shot required most places. Hank the mixed breed made me very proud this past weekend. Very Happy He did a very creditable job of finding pheasants and pinning them when they hit the ground. No retrieves of birds at this time, but so far I am really pleased. Also he did not chase the numerous cottontails (he learned awhile ago that the bunny in the yard has the power to give him a shock under the collar when he chases it). He likes to stay within gun range as he works. Altogether I have to say I got quite lucky when I adopted this guy from the animal shelter! By the way, my new 1952 Ithaca 37 did great on the birds too; the bismuth 6's from it hit hard and did a whole lot better than my pal's 12 with #3 steel.

If you are able to get the photos from your camera into your computer, I can probably walk you through a way to post them. PM me if interested.

Golfswithwolves...would you be a Crandall man from another board?

Why do I feel like I'm a panelist on What's My Line?

No sir, I use the same name on all the boards I post on. I am too simple to remember more than one identity.

All this talk of dogs...and well, my new puppy GSP was born two days ago!

We (my family and I) had been thinking of getting a dog for a long time. My girls (ages 5 and 7) desperately want a dog, so we put it all together last month. I think our new GSP will make a nice addition to our family.

Some more versatile dog/versatile gun pics - Bear, my Citori 16ga. white lightning and some ducks, snipe and Huns, all taken on a short two-hour hunt that we did before supper tonight, about 10 Km from home.

and just for the heck of it, I thought you might enjoy the view I had from my front step today at noon - snow geese are PLENTIFUL!

Thought I'd contribute by showing you my new Brittany. Miss Libby.

We have yet to find out how versatile she'll train me to be... Laughing

Living here in NC there's not a great deal to hunt. Grouse in the mountains (if you can find them....I guess that's why it's called hunting ), and spotty quail at best. Farm birds are found more than wild ones.
