Had some good luck in the duck marsh this morning. Brought out the 16ga Simson with Kent Tungsten Matrix #6 shells. Six shots, five ducks. 1 Woodie and 4 Greenwing Teal. My American Water Spaniel brought them all back to hand. A good time was had by all, 'cept for the ducks, I guess.

Way to go! We've had our first glimpse of fall here in Socal....A little rain, lower temps (about 67 degrees), and the general quail and waterfowl seasons set to open up here on the 20th.
Have good weekend!
Best,

Congrats on a good season start.
We have had a spectacular fall this year with temps in 70s and nights in the 40-50s, and of course, beautiful rocky mountain fall colors. Supposed to change tomorrow with rain turning to a little snow. Phez seasons starts around here (CO and KS) the first weekend of Nov - - we are pumped and ready!

Think I finally figured out the photo entry gig. Simson on the duck hunt and Sterlingworth for the pheasant hunt. Dixie likes to fish also.

If I didn't know better, I would swear you had swiped my little Geco, sling and all, in that October photo.
Nice pup, too!

Rooster,
I'm pretty sure they are close to the same gun. I was a little to slow on the draw with the one you picked up. Was going to get it to be a stable mate to the Simson. It has been my go-to gun this fall. If you'd like I can e-mail some pictures and we can compare notes.
