Happy Thanksgiving:
Slipped out to Town and Country Gun Club in Maryville IL this morning with a 16 ga LC Smith and 16 ga Ithaca Model 37 to shoot some skeet. Used the voice call on the first round at 8 am and shot with a friend after that until noon - between coffee trips in the warm trailer managed to exercise my freedom and shoot 6 rounds. Nothing spectacular (always tomorrow) but a good time was had by all two of us out on this cool and cloudy day.

Well, I had to stay home Thanksgiving. The girls were home and my wife wife would have had a fit if I had left just to shoot. But I went yesterday. A while back i bought an Atlas automatic clay bird thrower. I met several people at our gun club for some informal clay shooting. We shot nearly a thousand rounds and just had a lot of fun. All the gauges were represented, 12,16,20,28 and 410. Of course, I was the only one with a 16. I'm going to get the Citori out again today. My youngest daughter, age 25, wants to go with me today. Now thats really special. Just me and her. |
