I was planing to leave tomarrow [Sun 24th] for my second of many, weather permitting, 4-6 day trips to Nebraska in search of Bobs to catch the good weather window. I really wanted to take my new 16ga SXS w/ 65mm chambers. Problem--no shells. I have 2 1/2" coming from 2 diferent places but it looks like the're not going to show up till Mon or Tues. So, what do you think #1 Leave Sunday, take the 16 & use 2 3/4" Estates 1oz 1165 fps? #2 Wait for the 2 1/2s? #3 Leave Sunday, with a 20 gauge Crying or Very sad ? Keep in mind that the weather determins how many of these 400mi trips I can make in a season.

If you'll be passing a Cabelas on the way, they usually stock 16g Gamebore 2 1/2" shells. Brit 7s are sorta US 7 1/2s.

Thanks Revdocdrew, just gave Cabelas in Sidney a call. Sure nuff they got gamebore in 6s & 7s, problem solved. I go by there on my way to my hunting grounds. Checked their .com thing a while back, didnt list any 2 1/2s.

Your da man
