Just like the previous poster I have an old family 16g A5 ser 110xxx. It is also 2 9/16 never been modified- I'm gonna leave it that way. The original barrel is marked with 1 * -- Full choke? The second barrel is marked with special cylinder and is about 2" shorter than the original. I didn't record its number.

I pulled it out last night to check it out and make sure it is ready for a test for another member. Damn! I put the gun away after cleaning some rust off the barrel and cleaning the entire gun. Then I basically forgot about it. It is really in nice shape. Wood is beautiful, receiver is clean and blue, bore is bright. Nice to pull out something like that from the dark reaches of the safe! Kinda like putting on an old jacket and finding a 20 in the pocket.

I'll take a few pics tonight. So y'all can gush about the old girl with me.

Ash

I also meant to ask about manufacture date. I see that it is close to the previous poster- fall of 37- Any info is appreciated.

Yes it's the same year.
1937 production numbers run from 105851 to 111000.

Yes "*" is full.

Ash,

Based on the number it's probably that it was assembled in early December of '37.

Take it out to shoot it in celebration of it's 70th birthday.
