Some of the real fun comes after the game is dressed. Several like minded individuals participated in my favorite dinner of the year.

Thanks to the stunning photography of Matt Laur (uplandlife.com) it was all caught on film. Check out Matt's website sometime.

The pictures:

Jeff: My hats off to you! A great celebration and a great appreciation for the game we take! I'm a little suprised the table decorations did not include a dozen or two A-5's!

Matt,

I'm not completely one dimensional!

The pictures at the end of the photo's are of some guys shooting from the front of a Benoit flying boat using an old humpback.

To continue the Browning connection there is an FN made straight stocked side by side in one picture. It's leaning against the wall in the corner of my dining room.

And because this is the 16 ga site....the Parker with the Damascus three barreled set is an "0" frame sixteen gauge gun. That may be the ultimate Parker for us lovers of the 16. It was positively magical. (no, it's not mine)

Very nicely done Jeff. You really put some great effort into the dinner and the pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Oh, and don't forget to call AAA (it was on your refrigerator). Laughing

Jim, the other guys that you may have seen at IWLA are, Joe Reid, Douglass Craig, Pat Dady and Ian Hunter. One of the Parker gun club guys, Tom Flanigan was there too. Then there is the photographer Matt Laur.

This group was primarily built around a group that has been gunning some field trials together, it was in part my thanks for the opportunity to participate. I'd have liked to invite a number of additional guys that would have really appreciated it but needed to keep the number managable.

UDF,

That's damn funny....every time I look at those pictures that jumps out at me.

Your probably the guy who blew this picture up big and asked who the lady in the bubble bath was:

Well, now you've seen her full length!

I met Pat Dady on Earth Day last year at the chapter, and I shot a round of skeet with Dennis early last spring on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. I don't know Ian yet.

My sons gave it to me.

I'm not sure where they got it.

Got to go, I have a date with a doughnut.

To use an old Marine phrase:

Outstanding!

Impressive photography and well executed cooking.
