I've got one with 26" barrels and IC / Mod chokes. I haven't weighed it but it feels a bit clunky. Got it to use on grouse back in Oregon. I tried it on the quail here in Arizona and it seems to knock them down. The problem is that I bought an Ithaca NID the other week and I'm beginning to like it better.

One thing on frame size of M24. Since the barrels sit INSIDE the frame I don't think it is a 16 on a 20ga frame.

Charles, sorry for the late reply. My first posts on this board were because I had just purchased a model 24 16ga. Here's the original post from a while back.

My model 24 16 ga weighed 6lbs 13 oz. These guns are easily converted to an english style grip if you want to trim a few ounces.

Charles, I got a chance to handle one at the Cabela's in Ft Worth and on their digital scales, 28" barrels, double triggers- 6.943 lbs. Price- $600 in their gun library.

The gun was not in bad shape and only one metal flaw on the left side where the metal edge was slightly peened where the barrels and action meet. The wood is good, and the balance is not as bad as I would have imagined.

All in all, not a bad deal.
