Here's a Utica built Sterlingworth on GunBroker that looks pretty good if anyone is interested.

Nice looking Fox. Would go nice with my 12 ga. Fox. Maybe.

I'm kinda surprised that it didn't sell. For the condition, the price seems in line. Not to mention how often do you see a clean Fox 16 ga. for sale?

Gun is relisted in a new auction as the first one ended with no bids.

I sent an email asking about the marks on the sides as well as under the tang. Looks like it could be pitting etc.

May just get it to go along with my 12 ga. Utica Fox.

The twin of mine, except for the shell kickers. If I hadn't just got mine I'd be all over this one!

Well this gun is up for auction for the 3rd time since this thread was started. They have gotten no bids every time. I sent an email and got very short, incomplete answers to my questions from the seller.

The marks on the gun concern me as possible being rust, pitting etc. I also asked about the condition of the bores.
Basically the reply was: The gun is as described.

I really was interested so when it went up the 3rd time I again asked about my concerns and told them that I was interested in the gun. Also mentioned that since it hasn't received any bids, would they consider XX for it.
Not even a reply to my questions. I guess they don't really want to sell it. Mad

The seller is Ed Good - North dixie firearms.
Same gun is at www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976644331.htm

I recognized the maple leaf and table cloth! Very Happy

His replies to your questions coincide with my experience with this guy.
I guess he's too busy to actually work at selling anything. Question

Pete

Well a check this AM shows a $1200 bid that has NOT met the reserve price. With his attitude, I wouldn't be surprised if he bid on it himself after my email to him just to get the price up.
The gun may very well be worth what ever they want for it. But the marks in the pics and his vague reply to me about the bores give me some doubt.

He can keep it.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions about the guys attitude.
