Spend the day with him. Go shoot or mow the lawn or go fishing or go look for old doubles in garage sales but just spend the day with him.
Best,
Mike |

Every body has great ideas, but as a father my self the best gift you couldgive would be to tell your father your love him and appreciate the oppertunity you have had to be exposed to the experience hunting and bird guns, that is what I would do if my dad were still a live, Charlie |

What I did for one of my life long friend's 40th B-day was sneek his Beretta SPII out if his house with the help of his wife and had his initials engraved on the silver oval.
He is star of the field and the only guy with is initials engraved on his favorite gun.
Just make sure the engraver doesn't mess up! |

Write your father a letter. In your own hand (regardless of your penmanship), tell him what he means to you.
Thank him for driving you to baseball practice.
Thank him for letting you shoot his .410 when you were 10 years old.
Thank him for working everyday for you.
Thank him for respecting your mother.
Apologize to him for being a smart ass when you were seventeen.
Thank him for being a teacher and instilling a work ethic in you.
Thank him for making you the man you are.
He'll read this letter, pause and then read it again. |
