I AM LOOKING AT BUYING A SET OF BRILEY SDEKICKS IN 28GA
TO SHOOT SKEET. I WILL LIKE TO USE THEM IN ONE OF TWO CITORI
525'S 16GA OR 20GA. LAST SUMMER I BORROWED A PAIR OF
SEMINOLE CHAMBERMATE IN 410 BORE AND TRIED TO USE THEM IN A
525 12GA . THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE RECOIL WAS NOT ENOUGH
TO SET THE HAMMER ON THE SECOND BARREL. DOES ANYONE HAVE
KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE SHOOTING THE 28GA IN EITHER THE
CITORI 16GAOR 20GA? WILL THE HAMMER RESET RELIABILITY?

I had a set of full length tubes with screw in chokes for my 16 citori in 28ga. These are made of titanium. I never had a problem.
Even though the inserts are titanium and very light when you handle them out of the gun the increase in the weight is very noticed once installed in the gun. Old 16

Talking to the Briley guys at The Grand they were skeptical of the Sidekicks.I agree with them. I tried a set of Seminoles and was not impressed with them.I didn't look on the site but I would go for the companion tubes as a minumum investment.MOST guns will reset with a 20 or 28 load, the trigger work is done for the .410.That's why I prefer a mechanical trigger on my skeet gun--It WIll fire no matter how light the load Wink

I have a set of the 16 to 28 seminole chamber mates I use in my SxS. My scores on the clay field didn't decrease any. But I am not a serious skeet shooter and do not compete in tournaments. I know the serious shooters that I have talked to have the fitted full length tubes. The side kicks work just as well as the chamber mates, both are finiky about the shells you use (STS or AA) as the cheaper ones stick. There has been a problem with both (chamber mates and sidekicks) cocking the second barrel with the .410 inserts, they seem to work best if you are only going down one gauge.
