By "lawyer grip" do you mean by the throat? |

Yes, "lawyer grip" does mean by the throat.
Yes, that Prairie Chicken IS banded. His first Chicken ever......I've been hunting them for 40 years and it's the first one I ever saw. Go figure!!

I hunt Pheasant, Chukar and Quail with my 4-year-old Pudelpointer, Jaeger. HE hunts anything that flys or runs!!!
Hey Chorizo, where did you get that wineskin? Mine of 25+ years finely gave out and I'm searching for a new one.

Birdswatter;
Nice looking hound, but you need to give him a shave!
I get my botas in Spain when I go to visit the in-laws and relatives. You can get them here in the US at:
http://www.tienda.com/wine/wine_service.html
A little expensive, but cheaper than a flight to Madrid and a drive to Pamplona!
I have a new one curing right now that I brought back last Christmas, getting ready for the fall. Damn hunting partner's dog bit a hole in my good one this spring. |

I follow several English (Ryman) setters through the coverts for grouse and woodcock.
