Stopped by the local reloading supplier and picked up two bags of Eagle shot tonight. Price had DROPPED!! $3.00 a bag from $36.99 to $33.99 !!
Was happily surprised to say the least!! Hope it's a new trend!!
Best regards, R Rambler |

That's good news! I haven't bought any for about a year. It sounds as though I'll need to check out the local sport shop to see if the same has happened here!

Marc, Yep, Shydas is the place. Was in your neck of the woods two weeks ago giving my flyrod a workout on smallmouths at Falmouth.

High$. Did you have much luck on smallies when you were up? It seems the smallmouth fishery on the Susquehanna is starting to come back. Do you ever fish Clark's Creek in Dauphin? I spend about 40 days a year there with 5wt in hand.
Cheers

Marcus, That day the water level was higher than I like so I couldn't get out into the rocks as far as I normally do. Still had a fun morning with 5 in the 10-12 in range, they were targeting live minows so the Clouser worked pretty good if a cigar Walleye didn't grab it first, LOL! Never been to Clarks Creek, lots of places along the Suskee I need to explore yet!
hoashooter, I agree with you 100%, but it is nice to see SOMETHING coming down in price.
Best regards guys, R Rambler |

Rambler,
I was there on Wed after shooting at Elstonville, didn't notice a drop, but then I didn't look. Was buying wads. Easily the cheapest place I've ever found for powder, primer & wads. {:o)

Is Shyda's cheaper than Richland? I always bought all my stuff at Richland. |

Richland seems to be THE source for claybirds, certainly the clubs I shoot at get their birds from them. And I think their prices on components are close to Shyda's, just a bit more convenient for me to get to them, price of gas is such that I try and keep driving to a minimum, and buy in bulk when I do. Lead may be dropping, but I doubt if we'll see any reductions in the price of powder or primers.
Cheers,

pp,
Elstonville for sporting clays on Wed afternoons, Mt. Joy Tues evening for trap,
and I've shot a lot of trap at Columbia on Wednesdays. Work nights on the weekends, so unfortunately don't manage to get to Hummelstown Sun much, though I think they have a great course for sporting. Lol, I'm the guy with the small hairy dog if you make it to any of the above venues. {:o)

10-4 I shoot at Elstonville on sundays during our different club every sunday tour. I shoot skeet at Cocalico on wednesday evenings. I like Hummlestown they always have some tricky shots. I shot Atglen,Cacoosing and oxford the last 3 weeks Lehigh valley is always fun too. |

Back on topic, just logged in to Grafs.com, an 80 bag pallet of Eagle Magnum shot, dealer price, is going for $29.99@. Price is dropping! Be a while afore the retailers clear their old inventory. But looks like there's some releif on the horizon. {:o)
Cheers all,

I was in Sportsman's Warehouse about 6 wks ago and it was still $50!
With the possibility of Obama getting in office, you might want to stock up on lead and primers. |
