The home page for this sight has a nice old picture on it. Does anyone have any info on that picture? It is the one with the two men sitting down with their guns having a smoke along with there three hounds. I would like to know the aproximate date, I am geussing late '30s, what guns they are carrying, and info about the hounds. They look like some sort of Basett but have shorter ears. Any idea what they might be hunting and where? There may be something posted on here already, but I could not find it. Thanks.

I just noticed the one fellow is holding a rabbit. So I guess they are hunting rabbit.

If you look closely you will see the wing of a bird at the fellows feet, so they are hunting more than rabbits. Like you I have always liked that picture.

I can't help you with the picture, but someone on the site had some info about a year ago. Try being more specific in the topic line and maybe that person will see request.

Thanks, I missed the bird wing. I will see if I can find that post.

I can't remember if this was in a thread or a PM from 16ga, but I believe he said he just came across the picture somewhere and liked it, but didn't know any history or personal info about it. Nor sure though.
