My local gun store called yesterday and said my 16 Gauge BPS was in. Rushed right up and got her, brought her home and cleaned all the grease off. Looks great; the wood has some nice figure, and of course I like the silver receiver. The wood IS a little dry, but so was the 12 gauge when I first got it. A little hand rubbed oil will take care of that. Plans are to take her out thursday night and feed her some Nobels down at the five stand field.
Now if only I had a 16ga Society sister to keep her company. |

A new toy is always a joy to get. Especially when it has 16 gauge written on it! Congrats and I hope she shoots well for you.

I bought one too. I enjoy shooting it at Trap mostly because I only shoot one shot at a time. I can't seem to remember to pump it. I would love to change the forearm. It seems like a bit of a block. I wish it had a ring tail forearm on it like the old Ithica 37 or model 12. I wonder if that can be done? |

Scolari, I agree with you. A nice corn cob forearm or ringtail forearm would improve this gun's looks almost 100%. |

Looks like an opportunity for a nice side business there for someone. I would do it myself if I knew how. |

I agree with you Scolari, the forearm is sort of blocky. A ringtail/corncob would be more user friendly I believe. When I get some time, I think I will take mine apart and see how it attaches, and how difficult it would be to make one. I have a small lathe that a friend gave me that only requires a motor to make it operational. If anyone else gets around to it anytime soon, please post your findings. |
