Gentlemen:
Just a little off-topic, but I wondered if any of you had a recommendation for a good set of gunsmithing screwdrivers - I'm looking for a decent set with the most versatility. I'd like something with a stand to hold them in on my bench - maybe. I'm not a gunsmith by any account, but I have taken apart and put back together some firearms (and they worked  ).
If you are like me you have a set of gun screwdrivers that are mismatched from years of getting the one to do the job. Now that I have room, I'm looking to expand.
Besides, if I have a list and the Boss asks me what I need I can just hand it over and usually it appears  well, within reason anyway.... |

Pull out the Brownell's catalog-don't have one-go to www.brownells.com. I believe they charge 5 bucks but ya git it back on the first order-Have ya ever thought about the Grace gun care tool set???It ain't cheap but is an excellent all-around tool set in a very nice vinyl case.HmmmmmmIf mama goes shopping make sure ya get the right one.There are three models#354-100-017 is the one to get.The others are for either the win 97 /Colt and the 97/Ruger-just a thought-there are also several other ideas to choose from--Can't get enough of that catalog.IF I ONLY HAD A___________  |

Thanks Hoashooter. I will take a look at these.
A colleague/dealer has an account (with discount) at Brownell's. Maybe the deal just got better.  |

| The Chapman 8900 set is a very handy collection of hollow ground straight bit drivers as well as the #1 and #2 phillips, a couple of allen wrenches, an extension, etc. It's in a nice little package that makes for easy packing for travel. If for just at your home shop, I generally get a few screwdrivers wherever and grind a set to vustom fit all the screws on a particular gun. |

I just got my latest double gun journal Vol 16 issue3 Autum 2005 . Galazon have produced a set of gun screwdrivers (turnscrews)a twenty piece set of hollow ground turnscrews called Hardstahl their web site is www.connecticutshotgun.com.They look like a pretty flash set of screwdrivers but then if you love your gun collection it is a cheap investment
