I put this gun on my watch list then forgot all about it
Never thought it would go this cheap. What a deal!

Well, you guys have made me feel good. It is going to a good home and it will be used for what is was made for....bird hunting!! Palouse, are you the seller? By the way, there is a 16ga Lightning on GunBroker right now for a decent price with no bids. It expires in 3 hours though. |

Yes, I'm the seller. Should have sold it on here, but oh well. It's a great gun, and I hate to see it go, but expenses are mounting, and I have an Auto-5 in 12 that sees more use. My bird hunting partner is going to give me a ration of crap for selling it, though. I am now without a 16, and if my wife knew I was now looking for a well-used Model 12 in 16, she'd have my hide.
You got a great little upland gun. Perfect for chukar on the Snake River breaks, and it held its own on wild roosters, too.
I don't feel too bad about it going lower than what I think it's worth (I never thought in a million years it'd go below a grand) because I sold a collectible that should have sold for $1200 on fleaBay but went for $2500 because two people got in a bidding war. You win some, you lose some. In the end, I think I came out where I should be.
Very glad to know it's going to a good home. If you're interested, I'll send you some photos of where it cut its teeth. I always wish I knew where used guns that came into my care have been. |

Well, you are to be congratulated for being honest and honoring the auction. Some folks would claim the gun was suddenly kidnapped by gypsies or abducted by aliens. Good on ya. |
