I have a 26" solid rib 16 gauge skeet Model 31 barrel that I paid $200 for without a second thought. Kind of interesting that the barrel you looked at is 28". Check the bottom of the barrel for a serial number (sometimes they used just the last three numbers).

You have me beat by one - I only have 5. If you get a chance measure up the choke. My barrel has .005 choke about 1-1/2" to 2" from the muzzle and then bells out to around cylinder bore. From what I've heard that is how a WS1 Winchester choke is configured.

Bill..Wasn't bragging..Just always liked the 31s.I'm more of a Parker and LC fan.I've got an old 16 that has a Moneymaker rib..and no choke to speak of..Hell of a bird gun..when you can find birds anymore. Have not seen a good covey on my farm in years..I'll have that SKEET barrel today..!!!

The SKEET barrel is at home in my safe..Traded a Ruger MK1 for it. I think I had about $125 in the pistol..Everyone happy !!
