Looks great Charles! I can't wait to start light loading all those Federal/Fiocchi/Chedditte hulls I've accumulated. I got your message last night. Try again, or I'll call you.

This is no half baked effort. 6 figures unless it was made overseas. What company had this made? I hope you have a plastics company, that is kind or the wads are going to be expensive.

Mark, try a search here on 16ga.com with "mold" in the search field. That should get you caught up on the action.

The reason I asked was, that I have experience with having steel shot wads made. Those molds are not as inticate as these as a steel shot wad has no compression section.

You Charles are nuts to do this, but you have me smiling. Keep up the good work. Hopefully Downrange will work with you to keep costs within reason.

The molds look like they have had a few cycles on them. Have any wads been made and if so where might I buy them?

BTW I am glad that someone is making a wad that is truly suitable for 3/4 and 7/8 ounce loads. I hate fooling around with filler wads of any type. They really slow down the reloading process as well as making the reload more expensive and sometimes less consistent.

This is all pretty incredible! For years everyone has whined (justifiably so) about lack of 16 gauge this or that. Here we have someone who is rolling up his sleeves and doing something about it. Keep on keeping on Charles!

I head out to Downrange in the morning with the mold , I took the mold up on the 17th of Dec . and we run the Mold on the 18th it kicked out good parts but we had a time of it putting it together , ( I will tell about that later ) brought the mold back home to make some adjustments and now I am taking it back .

So folks We did make it by 2008 ran the production mold and now lets hope she is going and not coming back .

I will post pic's of what was changed when I get back .

OH and folks I will announce when the wads will be available to purchase so hang in there just a wee bit longer .
