Johs,
I have two questions.
How do you work up a shotshell load? How do you know what the prssure is?
|
About the same way I do for my rifles.
I look at relevant manuals and data, use my crono and increase the load in small stepp to I have achieved the speed I want. If I see pressure signs before that, I reduce the amount of shot a little.
You need to have experience with reloading, the gun and the powder (components) you use. And of course you need healthy common sense.
I don't now the pressure and i don't need to now it, but I now it is in the interval I want.
I know it not after the "book" but it works great for me. I live in Norway and we don't have a lot of components (powder) to reloading shotgun shells available. I use vithavouri N-340 to 99% of my load both in 16 and 12 ga.
A great powder that need some pressure to burn good and clean. |

It was you that asked me question, and i replied on that.
I have found out what works for me and thats what I need. I learn new stuff all the times so I will not say that I have figured all out.
It was asked if somebody had loaded sp16 with wrap and steel shot. And I have done that for some years, not me favorit but it works good. |
